Saree:Our guide took out a cloth called'Saree' which was about 5.5cm long. She draped it on Poojitha and we found it very funny. She told us that we need'Choli' and a petticoat to tuck it into. We can use any synthetic material to make it.

Picture of the temple

This temple was called'Sri Veeriakaliamman Temple'.We need to take off our shoes to go into the temple. We had obey the rule that we should keep quiet as it was not respect to the gods.I also know about the past of the'Elephant God'.Before going out of the temple,we Pray to the gods to show respect to the gods

Flower Garland:It was specially sold by one of the people in the shop.

Trail to Little India

Some of the class, including 6/7,had gone to the tour to Little India. It is origin from'Buffalo Road'.First, our tour guide told us all about the history of this place.
After that, we walk around Litter India and the guide told all about some of the shops. She also let us taste the food called 'Chapathis'.It was the food made from the wheat flour. After which, we went to a temple called 'Sri Veeriakaliamman Temple'.Our teacher,Mrs Leong told us to put off our shoes in order to go into the temple.
In the temple,I saw different patterns and colours of flowers on the ceilings.I also knew about the history of a elephant god,it is very interesting of its story and our class was listening very attentively.
Again,we went to the other shops. On the way,the guide let us see a leaf called'Betel Leaf'.She said it was tasted like chili but a bit bitter.
At 10.30 am sharp,we go for our recess at the food market. We quickly find an empty seat and we put our bags on the seat before going to buy our food. After buying our food,we gobbled it up hungrily.
At 11.05am,we gathered outside the market. Before going to our next destination, the guide told us all about the fortune teller sitting outside the market.
Outside some shop, the guide took out the'Saree', which was about 5.5cm long and draped it around Poojitha. The guide tole us that we should also need a blouse called 'Choli' and a petticoat to tuck the saree in.She also said that any synthetic material could make the saree.Just before we all to go back to the school,we stopped at a shophouse which sold traditional Indian sweets,it is very sweet and cheap.I brought some of it and a special whistle made by other shophouses'owner.
After 10min,we went back to school, unwilling.
Reflection:After the tour I have learnt about the history of Little India and about the rules in the temple. One of the rules was before going in to the temple, we should put off our shoes.I had also learnt about the history of the gods.I liked the foods at there the most as it was very delicious. One that I liked most was the traditional sweets that the shophouse's owner sold.I knew some of the Tamil words liked:'Vaanakam' for greeting,'Nandri' for Thank You and''Thani' for water. It is very fun at there and that place could help us about our educational of history.I would recommended this place to my friends so that they would knew how fun it was at the Little India. I hope that one day,my secondary teacher would brought my new friends and I to that place again
